HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate the Our Lady of Lourdes
7th grade girls basketball team, the Lancers, on finishing
second in the 2015 Illinois Elementary School Association Class
1A State championship game; and
WHEREAS, The Lancers defeated Trinity Catholic Academy of
La Salle and Schlarman Academy of Danville to reach the
championship game against Carthage Middle School on December
10, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The Lancers came up just short in the championship
game, but they had a successful year with a record of 21 wins
and 4 losses; and
WHEREAS, The Lances are coached by Eric Newbon; and
WHEREAS, The Lancers are Alexis Paine, Jordan Santella,
Molly Patton, Emily Birschbach, Morgan Brummer, Valerie
Nutakor, Abby Gillespey, Abaigeal Aydt, and Addison Newbon;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
