 AN ACT concerning local government.


 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:



 Section 5. The Park Commissioners Land Sale Act is amended 
by adding Section 25 as follows:

 (70 ILCS 1235/25 new)
 Sec. 25. Sale of Joliet Park District land.
 (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Joliet 
Park District may sell Splash Station if:
  (1) the board of commissioners of the Joliet Park 
 District authorizes the sale by a four-fifths vote of the 
 commissioners in office at the time of the vote; and
  (2) the sale price equals or exceeds the average of 3 
 independent appraisals commissioned by the Joliet Park 
 District.
 (b) This Section is repealed on June 30, 2025.


 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
becoming law.
