2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Fred W. Orth of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on January 2, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was born to Matthew and Irene | ||||||
6 | (Schroeder) Orth in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on December 23, 1931; | ||||||
7 | he honorably served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Armored Division, | ||||||
8 | during the Korean War; he married Mary Catherine Redecker in | ||||||
9 | Rock Island on June 23, 1956; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was an insurance agent and district | ||||||
11 | manager with American Family Insurance for 37 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | ||||||
13 | Church, Allouez Council 658 Knights of Columbus, and the | ||||||
14 | Alleman Booster Club; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
16 | and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Fred Orth is survived by his wife; his children, | ||||||
18 | Therese (Patrick) Lootens, Eileen Copen, Michael (Susan) Orth, | ||||||
19 | and Larry (Gaye) Orth; his grandchildren, Christopher Lootens, | ||||||
20 | Elizabeth (Ty) Verschorre, Ryan (Maggie) Lootens, Samuel |

8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
9 | Fred W. Orth and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
10 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
