| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Robert L. Pauley of Silvis, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on February 5, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Pauley was born in Lucerne, Missouri to | ||||||
6 | Guy and Lena (Pettit) Pauley on October 3, 1931; he enlisted in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Air Force in 1951, where he served with the Air Police | ||||||
8 | until his honorable discharge in 1955; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Robert Pauley worked at the Montgomery Wards in | ||||||
10 | Moline, where he retired after 30 years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Robert Pauley loved being surrounded by his | ||||||
12 | family, telling jokes, and making people laugh; his life | ||||||
13 | revolved around his family, and he loved family gatherings; | ||||||
14 | his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his | ||||||
15 | grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called him | ||||||
16 | Papa; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Robert Pauley was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents; numerous siblings; and his sons, Kenneth and Lynn; | ||||||
19 | and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Robert Pauley is survived by his wife, Sherrie; |

1 | his children, Bobbie (Harry) Stelling, Kim (Crystal) Pauley, | ||||||
2 | Jim (Judy) Pauley, Mark (Jill) Pauley, Dani (Richard) Carter, | ||||||
3 | and Nick (Amanda) Pauley; his brother, Skip (Donna) Pauley; | ||||||
4 | his nephew, Rex (Carrie) Pauley; and many beloved | ||||||
5 | grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Robert L. Pauley and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
10 | further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Robert Pauley as an expression of | ||||||
13 | our deepest sympathy.
