1		SENATE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, Agriculture is the backbone of Illinois' economy,
3		with over 72,000 farms covering nearly 27 million acres and
4		marketing of agricultural products generating more than $51
5		billion annually; and
6		WHEREAS, Illinois farmers play a crucial role in feeding
7		the nation and the world by producing corn, soybeans, pork,
8		beef, dairy, and specialty crops that are exported globally;
9		and
10		WHEREAS, The dedication, innovation, and stewardship of
11		Illinois farmers sustain rural communities, protect natural
12		resources, and promote agricultural advancements that drive
13		economic growth and food security; and
14		WHEREAS, Despite their vital contributions, Illinois
15		farmers often face challenges related to public perception,
16		regulatory burdens, and misinformation about modern farming
17		practices; and
18		WHEREAS, It is essential to recognize and promote the hard
19		work, resilience, and ingenuity of Illinois farmers to enhance
20		public understanding and appreciation of their efforts;

1		RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
2		ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we affirm our
3		commitment to supporting Illinois farmers and promoting a
4		positive perception of their essential work; and be it further
5		RESOLVED, That we encourage public education initiatives,
6		outreach programs, and partnerships with agricultural
7		organizations to highlight the economic, and environmental
8		contributions of Illinois farms; and be it further
9		RESOLVED, That we recognize and commend the farmers of
10		Illinois for their dedication, perseverance, and continued
11		commitment to feeding families, strengthening communities, and
12		upholding the State's proud agricultural heritage.
