2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Glenda Marie (Jones) Raupp of Des | ||||||
4 | Plaines, who passed away on January 4, 2024; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp was born in Grandfield, Oklahoma on | ||||||
6 | August 12, 1939; she married Eugene "Gene" Raupp in Wichita | ||||||
7 | Falls, Texas; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp supported her husband Gene's | ||||||
9 | military career while working at O'Hare Air Reserve Station | ||||||
10 | before starting their family; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp and her husband were longtime, | ||||||
12 | active members of St. Stephen Protomartyr Church of Mary, | ||||||
13 | Mother of Martyrs Parish in Des Plaines, where they started | ||||||
14 | the food pantry together; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp formerly served as school board | ||||||
16 | president, a religious educator, president of the Rosary | ||||||
17 | Altar, vice-president of Special Events and chair of the | ||||||
18 | Church Commission for the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic | ||||||
19 | Women (ACCW), and president and treasurer of Vicariate 1 ACCW; | ||||||
20 | and

1 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp was named Woman of the Year in 1997 | ||||||
2 | and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, both from | ||||||
3 | her parish; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp dedicated her entire life to her | ||||||
5 | family, the Catholic school, and her church; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp was preceded in death by her husband | ||||||
7 | of 47 years, Gene Raupp; her parents, Bessie Hiss and RD Jones; | ||||||
8 | and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other in-laws, and | ||||||
9 | friends; and

10 | WHEREAS, Glenda Raupp is survived by her children, Annette | ||||||
11 | L. Bulat, Raymond D. (Robin) Raupp, Ronald G. (Elizabeth) | ||||||
12 | Raupp, and Diana M. (Christopher) Addante; her grandchildren, | ||||||
13 | Jacob Bulat, Lucas Bulat, Brieana Bulat, Ryan (Megan) Raupp, | ||||||
14 | Rachel (David) Baumann, Ross Raupp, Alexis Addante, Nicholas | ||||||
15 | Addante, and Joseph Raupp; her great-grandchildren, Delaney | ||||||
16 | Raupp, Nolan Raupp, Adelene Baumann, and Harrison Baumann; her | ||||||
17 | siblings, Sonny (Sharron) Jones, Caroline (the late Dale) | ||||||
18 | Bickmore, Ray Don (Madonna) Jones, and Carl (Renee) DeSpain; | ||||||
