A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION fixing the date for the first
regular technical session of the One Hundred Eighteenth General
Assembly.
Whereas, IC 2-2.1-1-2.5 authorizes the General
Assembly to fix a date for the first regular technical session
of the General Assembly;
Whereas, the General Assembly finds that it is in the best
interest of the State of Indiana to fix a date for the Technical
Session;
Whereas, it is prudent to allow the Speaker of the House
of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the
Senate to jointly order that the Technical Session not
convene if they determined the cost and inconvenience do not
justify meeting in Technical Session: Now, therefore,
SECTION 1. The date for the Technical Session of the One
Hundred Eighteenth General Assembly is hereby fixed for Thursday,
May 23, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
SECTION 2. The Speaker of the House of Representatives and the
President Pro Tempore of the Senate may issue a joint order that the
General Assembly not convene in Technical Session if they determined the cost and inconvenience of meeting in Technical Session are not justified.
