Summary

Requiring the Maryland Department of Labor to establish a workgroup to conduct a study on the maximum height restriction for an apartment building with a single-exit stairway in each state; requiring the workgroup to make certain recommendations for increasing the maximum height for those buildings in this State by July 1, 2026; and requiring the Department to adopt certain regulations based on the workgroup's recommendations by June 1, 2027.
