HOUSE SUBSTITUTE FOR

 

SENATE BILL NO. 1195

 

(as amended November 29, 2012)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

 

"The social welfare act,"

 

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 109k.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 109k. Effective [OCTOBER] 1, 2013, a community mental health

 

services program established by a single charter county that has

 

situated totally within that county a city having a population of

 

at least 500,000 shall comply with sections 204(4) and 205 of the

 

mental health code, 1974 PA 258, MCL 330.1204 and 330.1205, before

 

contracting with the department of community health as a specialty

 

prepaid health plan to provide specialty services and supports.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless Senate Bill No. 1196 of the 96th Legislature is enacted into

 

law.
