1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1.
CLEAN ENERGY RESOURCE TEAMS; FUNDING.
1.6(a) The utility subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 116C.779, shall transfer
1.7$625,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $625,000 in fiscal year 2013 only to the Department of
1.8Commerce on a schedule determined by the commissioner of commerce. These funds
1.9must be deposited in the special revenue fund and are appropriated to the commissioner.
1.10(b) A grant of $625,000 in each of fiscal years 2012 and 2013 is for continued
1.11funding of community energy technical assistance and outreach on renewable energy and
1.12energy efficiency, as described in Minnesota Statutes, section 216C.385. Of this amount,
1.13$125,000 each year is for technical assistance in the metropolitan area.
