1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to animals; modifying definitions of potentially dangerous dog;
1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 347.50, subdivision 3.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 347.50, subdivision 3, is amended to read:
1.6    Subd. 3. Potentially dangerous dog. "Potentially dangerous dog" means any
1.7dog that:
1.8(1) when unprovoked, inflicts bites on a human or domestic animal on public
1.9or private property;
1.10(2) when unprovoked, chases or approaches a person, including a person on a
1.11bicycle, upon the streets, sidewalks, or any public or private property, other than the dog
1.12owner's property, in an apparent attitude of attack; or
1.13(3) has a known propensity, tendency, or disposition to attack unprovoked, causing
1.14injury or otherwise threatening the safety of humans or domestic animals.
