1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.7    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 398A.10, is amended by adding a
1.8subdivision to read:
1.9    Subd. 4. Definition. For purposes of this section, "project" means the initial
1.10construction of a minimum operable segment of a new light rail transit or commuter rail
1.11line, but does not include infill stations, project enhancements, extensions, or supportive
1.12infrastructure, constructed after the rail transit is operational.
1.13EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
