1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. COMMUNITY-BASED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.
1.6$....... in fiscal year 2012 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to Minnesota Citizens for Reform
1.8and Economic Equality for workforce development activities to increase the job skills
1.9and employability of Minnesotans from communities of color, women, disabled persons,
1.10and veterans. Grant funds may be used only for activities developed in cooperation
1.11with community-based businesses to provide targeted education and job training for
1.12occupations including but not limited to: highway heavy construction; road maintenance;
1.13building and home construction, modification, and maintenance; manufacturing; health
1.14care; and technology. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.
