1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Kasson-Mantorville High School softball team on
1.3winning the 2015 State High School Class AA softball championship.
1.4WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.5sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.6WHEREAS, the Kasson-Mantorville softball team participated in the 2015 State High
1.7School Class AA softball tournament from June 4-5, 2015, at Caswell Park in North Mankato; and
1.8WHEREAS, they defeated the Maple Lake Irish 2-1 in the final game of the tournament to
1.9win the state championship for the second consecutive year; and
1.10WHEREAS, the KoMets finished the season with an outstanding 26-2 record; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.12congratulations are extended to the members of the Kasson-Mantorville High School softball
1.13team for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.15an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.16the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of
1.17Kasson-Mantorville High School.
