1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Ben Thompson of Shakopee, Minnesota, for earning the rank
1.3of Eagle Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Ben Thompson is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 218 and has
1.9displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Ben has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills, has completed a community
1.11service project, which involved planning, designing, and raising funds to construct a learning garden
1.12at Red Oak Elementary School in Shakopee, Minnesota, and has fulfilled all other requirements
1.13necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.14WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held in the late spring of 2021; and
1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.16congratulates Ben Thompson of Shakopee, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.18copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.19Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Ben Thompson.
