1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the St. Cloud Cathedral High School boys hockey team on winning the
1.32019 State High School Class A boys hockey championship.
1.4WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.5sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.6WHEREAS, the St. Cloud Cathedral hockey team participated in the 2019 State High School
1.7Class A boys hockey tournament on March 6-9; and
1.8WHEREAS, they defeated the Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin Raiders in the final game of
1.9the tournament to win the state championship; and
1.10WHEREAS, the Crusaders finished the regular season with an outstanding record; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.12congratulations are extended to the members of the St. Cloud Cathedral High School boys hockey
1.13team for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.15enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.16Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of St.
1.17Cloud Cathedral High School.
