SB 942 - Current law specifies that if a Commissioner of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority was appointed from Platte or Clay County, the Mayor of Kansas City, with approval of the City Council, shall appoint the Commissioner's successor from a panel of three persons approved by a majority of the County Commission for their county. This act specifies that if the Mayor's appointment is not made within 30 days, the County shall have the right to appoint the successor.
