Summary
An Act To Amend Section 37-7-105, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Use Of A Reverse Referendum To Initiate The Consolidation Of Two Or More School Districts Within A County Into A Single School District Upon The Filing Or A Petition By The Qualified Electors Of The School Districts To Be Affected By The Consolidation; To Prescribe The Procedures To Be Followed By The Applicable School Boards Should The Referendum Pass Or Fail; To Stipulate Notice Requirements From The Time Of Receipt Of The Petition To The Administration Of The Election; And For Related Purposes.
