House Bill 1019
AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 63-3-909, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROVIDES THAT NO PERSON SHALL LEAVE THEIR VEHICLE UNATTENDED WITHOUT FIRST STOPPING THE ENGINE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 63-3-909, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provides that no person shall leave their vehicle unattended without first stopping the engine, is repealed.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2017.
