House Bill 1692
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE LOWNDES COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH A CERTAIN PRIVATE ENTERPRISE TO MANAGE AND OPERATE THE DISTRICT'S SEWAGE LAGOON/SEWAGE SYSTEM; TO AUTHORIZE THE DISTRICT TO BILL AND CHARGE PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS WHO UTILIZE SUCH SEWAGE LAGOON/SEWAGE SYSTEM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Lowndes County School District is authorized and empowered to enter into a public/private agreement with a private enterprise known as Wilco Properties, Inc., to allow the private enterprise to manage and operate the district's sewage lagoon/sewage system for a fee. In an effort to operate at the lowest cost to the school district, the school district is also authorized to bill and charge certain private individuals who utilize the sewage lagoon/sewage system.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
