House Bill 1757

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO THE OXFORD-LAFAYETTE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION FOR THE NEXT THREE MUNICIPAL FISCAL YEARS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the City of Oxford, Mississippi, may contribute annually to the Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation, out of any available funds, an amount not to exceed Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) in each of the following fiscal years:  the fiscal year ending September 30, 2016, the fiscal year ending September 30, 2017, and the fiscal year ending September 30, 2018, and the fiscal year ending September 30, 2019.

     (2)  This section shall not prohibit contributions by the City of Oxford to the Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation under any other law or authorization already in effect.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
