AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE ASSOCIATION FOR RETARDED CITIZENS, BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS OF SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, GULF PINE GIRL SCOUT COUNCIL, HATTIESBURG DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION, INC., NEIGHBORHOOD EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES (N.E.E.D.S.), SALVATION ARMY, PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, PINEBELT ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT (P.A.C.E.), HATTIESBURG LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL ASSOCIATION, PETAL OPTIMIST CLUB BASEBALL, THE AIDS SERVICES COALITION AND FIRST TEE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Forrest County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may provide and expend county funds from any available funds of the county, in an amount not to exceed Seventy-nine Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($79,350.00) during calendar year 2010, for the purpose of providing funds necessary for the continuation of service programs provided by the Association for Retarded Citizens, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Mississippi, Boy Scouts of America, Gulf Pine Girl Scout Council, Hattiesburg Downtown Association, Inc., Neighborhood Education Enhancement Development Services (N.E.E.D.S.), Salvation Army, Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Pinebelt Association for Community Enhancement (P.A.C.E.), Hattiesburg Little League Baseball Association, Petal Optimist Club Baseball, the AIDS Services Coalition and First Tee.
During calendar year 2010, funds to the organizations shall not exceed the following amounts:

Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast
Mississippi............................. $ 1,350.00
Boy Scouts of America........................ $ 2,500.00
Gulf Pine Girl Scout Council................. $ 2,500.00
Hattiesburg Downtown Association, Inc........ $ 25,000.00
Neighborhood Education Enhancement Development
Services................................ $ 2,500.00
Salvation Army............................... $ 3,000.00
Pearl River Valley Opportunity............... $ 8,500.00
Pinebelt Association for Community Enhancement $ 10,500.00
Hattiesburg Little League Baseball Association $ 5,000.00
Petal Optimist Club Baseball................. $ 5,000.00
AIDS Services Coalition...................... $ 10,000.00
First Tee.................................... $ 1,000.00
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
