A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF A BILL ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 21-8-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE MUNICIPAL POPULATION THRESHOLD BELOW WHICH COUNCILMEN AND COUNCILWOMEN MAY NOT HAVE AN OFFICE IN CITY HALL IN THOSE CITIES OPERATING UNDER A MAYOR-COUNCIL FORM OF GOVERNMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."

     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the Senate and the House are hereby suspended for the purpose of requesting the drafting, introduction, consideration and passage, regardless of any deadlines imposed by said rules, of a bill entitled "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 21-8-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE MUNICIPAL POPULATION THRESHOLD BELOW WHICH COUNCILMEN AND COUNCILWOMEN MAY NOT HAVE AN OFFICE IN CITY HALL IN THOSE CITIES OPERATING UNDER A MAYOR-COUNCIL FORM OF GOVERNMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
