STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Drive on Right Side of Roadway RSA 265:16, III is repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
III. Upon all highways the driver of a vehicle shall drive in the lane nearest the right side of the highway when such lane is available for travel except when overtaking another vehicle or when preparing for a left turn or exit or traveling onto a thruway such as an E-Z Pass drive through lane or express lane.
2 New Paragraph; Drive on Right Side of Roadway. Amend RSA 265:16 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:
IV. Vehicles using any New Hampshire roadway shall travel in the right lane nearest the right side of the highway unless lawfully passing another vehicle. Persons driving in the far left lane for any other reason or purpose shall be guilty of a violation.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2019.
