AN ACT relative to access to school-approved means of communication by recognized youth organizations.

This bill allows federally-recognized patriotic organizations to have access to school-approved means of communication to advertise activities and distribute literature for recruiting and other purposes.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen
AN ACT relative to access to school-approved means of communication by recognized youth organizations.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subdivision; Access by Recognized Youth Organizations. Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 64 the following new subdivision:
Access by Recognized Youth Organizations
189:65 Access to Public School Facilities by Recognized Youth Organizations. A school district shall allow a patriotic organization as defined in 36 U.S.C. sec. 201 et. seq., to have reasonable access to, and use of, school-approved means of communication for the purpose of advertising activities, and to distribute literature for recruitment or other purposes, provided that such literature may be distributed at not more than 2 school-sponsored events per school year. All costs associated with such communication shall be borne by the patriotic organization.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
