METHODOLOGY:
This bill repeals RSA 15:1, V(h) relative to excepting certain communications to the Governor, any member of the Executive Council, members of the General Court, or public officials concerning legislation or rules, made by an employee on behalf of his or her employer. The Department of State indicates this removes the exemption for employees registering as a lobbyist when the employer is otherwise registered. Presumably the removal of the exemption would result in an unknown increase in the number of lobbyist registrations at the current rate of $50 each.
