Appropriates $350,000 to Rutgers, The State University - New Brunswick for Center for American Women and Politics - Women Elected and Appointed Officials Database.

A Supplement to the Fiscal Year 2023 annual appropriations act, P.L.2022, c.49.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2022, c.49, the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, there is appropriated from the General Fund the following amount for the purpose specified:

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill appropriates $350,000 from the General Fund to the Department of State for the Center for American Women and Politics - Women Elected and Appointed Officials Database. P.L.2021, c.414 requires the Center for Women and American Politics (CAWP) to establish databases of elected and appointed officials in New Jersey.
The CAWP, a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, provides scholarly research and data about women's political participation in the United States. CAWP's Women Elected Officials Database includes full historical listings for women who have held office at the congressional, State executive, and State legislative levels nationwide.
