SYNOPSIS
Prohibits State agencies from posting emergency medical technicians' personal information on web sites.

An Act concerning emergency medical technicians and supplementing Title 26 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. As used in this act:
"Emergency medical technician" means a person trained in basic life support services as defined in section 1 of P.L.1985, c.351 (C.26:2K-21) and who is certified by the Department of Health and Senior Services to provide that level of care.
"Personal information" means information that identifies an individual, including an individual's name, photograph, social security number, driver identification number, address, or telephone number.
b. Notwithstanding the provisions of P.L.1963, c.73 (C.47:1A-1 et seq.) or any other law to the contrary, the commissioner or any other State agency shall not post or otherwise make available to the public the personal information of any emergency medical technician on an Internet web site.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill prohibits the Commissioner of Health or any other State agency from posting the personal information of any emergency medical technician on an Internet web site. The bill defines personal information as information that identifies an individual, including an individual's name, photograph, social security number, driver identification number, address, or telephone number.
