          on Health

        AN ACT in relation to requiring the department of health  to  prepare  a
          report  on  the  number of surplus ventilators within the state at the
          conclusion of the COVID-19 state of emergency

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The  department  of  health shall prepare a report on the
     2  quantity  of  surplus  ventilators  and  personal  protection  equipment
     3  located  in  storage  or reserve within the state upon the conclusion of
     4  the state of emergency declared by executive order  202  that  began  on
     5  March  7,  2020. Such report shall list every warehouse or other storage
     6  location where such equipment is being stored and identify the  quantity
     7  of  ventilators  and  personal  protection equipment located within each
     8  such warehouse or other storage location. Such list  of  warehouses  and
     9  other  storage  locations shall be divided into regional groups. For the
    10  purpose of this act, "regional  groups"  shall  mean  the  ten  economic
    11  development  regions  established  by  the  New York state department of
    12  economic development pursuant to section 230 of the economic development
    13  law.
    14    § 2. The department of health shall deliver such report to the  gover-
    15  nor,  the  speaker of the assembly, the minority leader of the assembly,
    16  the temporary president of the senate and the  minority  leader  of  the
    17  senate  no  later than thirty days after the state of emergency declared
    18  by executive order 202 that began on March 7, 2020 has been lifted.
    19    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
