        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  executive law, in relation to the definition of
          "sexual orientation" as applicable to the human rights law

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  27  of  section 292 of the executive law, as
     2  added by chapter 2 of the laws of 2002, is amended to read as follows:
     3    27. The term "sexual orientation" means heterosexuality,  homosexuali-
     4  ty,  bisexuality  or  asexuality, whether actual or perceived. [However,
     5  nothing contained herein shall be construed to protect conduct otherwise
     6  proscribed by law.]
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
