Section 2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 85 to read as follows: 3 85. Employees of the town of Brookhaven serving as commissioner, depu- 4 ty commissioner, security director, and assistant security director in 5 the department of public safety when acting pursuant to their special 6 duties provided, however, that nothing in this subdivision shall be 7 deemed to authorize such officer to carry, possess, repair or dispose of 8 a firearm unless the appropriate license therefor has been issued pursu- 9 ant to section 400.00 of the penal law. 10 § 2.
