        AN  ACT  to  amend part O of chapter 59 of the laws of 2016, relating to
          reports by the  office  for  people  with  developmental  disabilities
          relating  to  housing needs, in relation to the office for people with
          developmental disabilities transformation panel; and  in  relation  to
          the effectiveness thereof
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Section 2 of part O of chapter 59  of  the  laws  of  2016,
     2  relating to reports by the office for people with developmental disabil-
     3  ities  relating  to  housing needs, is renumbered section 3 and amended,
     4  and a new section 2 is added to read as follows:
     5    § 2. On or before January 1, 2017, and continuing quarterly  thereaft-
     6  er,  the commissioner of developmental disabilities shall publish on the
     7  office's official website, and provide to  the  chair  of  the  assembly
     8  committee  on mental health and developmental disabilities and the chair
     9  of the senate committee on mental health and developmental disabilities,
    10  quarterly updates regarding the implementation of the report and  recom-
    11  mendations of the transformation panel, to include:
    12    (a) progress made by the office in developing plans for and implement-
    13  ing the recommendations;
    14    (b)  any  identified  statutory or regulatory obstacles to implementa-
    15  tion; and
    16    (c) any other information the office deems necessary  and  appropriate
    17  to keep stakeholders and the public informed of the implementation plan.
    18    §  3.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
    19  section one of this act shall be subject to appropriations made  specif-
    20  ically  available  for  this  purpose  and  shall  expire  and be deemed

     1  repealed April 1, 2017; and provided further that section  two  of  this
     2  act shall expire and be deemed repealed April 1, 2018.
     3    §  2.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
     4  the amendments to part O of chapter 59 of  the  laws  of  2016  made  by
     5  section  one  of  this  act shall not affect the repeal of such part and
     6  shall be deemed repealed therewith.
