Senate Resolution No. 413

        COMMEMORATING   Jubilee   Day  on  June  1,  2025,
        honoring the legacy and perseverance of Prince  Hall
        Shriners

  WHEREAS,  It  is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commemorate historic events that have  shaped  the  course  of  justice,
equality, and progress within our communities; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
commemorate  Jubilee  Day,  an  annual  observance honoring the historic
legal victory of Prince Hall Shriners, to be celebrated on Sunday,  June
1, 2025; and

  WHEREAS, Jubilee Day marks the June 3, 1929, unanimous ruling by the
United  States  Supreme Court, affirming the legal rights of the Ancient
Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine  (A.E.A.O.N.M.S.),  to  exist
and operate, securing their place as an essential institution within the
Masonic and fraternal community; and

  WHEREAS,  This  landmark decision represented not only a victory for
Prince Hall Shriners, but a defining moment in the  ongoing  pursuit  of
equity,   self-determination,   and  fraternal  unity,  reinforcing  the
fundamental principles of justice, perseverance, and brotherhood; and

  WHEREAS, For nearly a century,  Jubilee  Day  has  been  a  time  of
reflection,  gratitude,  and  rededication to the mission of Prince Hall
Shriners, whose unwavering commitment to charity, community service, and
empowerment continues to uplift  individuals  and  families  across  the
nation; and

  WHEREAS,  Through  scholarship  programs,  medical  aid initiatives,
mentorship, and civic engagement, Prince Hall Shriners remain  steadfast
in  their  efforts to promote education, healthcare access, and economic
advancement for those in need; and

  WHEREAS, On this Jubilee Day, we celebrate  the  resilience,  unity,
and  enduring legacy of Prince Hall Shriners, recognizing their profound
contributions to historical  progress,  community  enrichment,  and  the
Masonic tradition; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is fitting and proper that this Legislative Body pause
in its deliberations to acknowledge the significance  of  this  historic
occasion  and to recognize the profound impact of Jubilee Day in shaping
the enduring mission of Prince Hall Shriners; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
commemorate  Jubilee Day, honoring the legacy and perseverance of Prince
Hall Shriners, to be observed on Sunday, June 1,  2025,  and  to  extend
sincere  appreciation  to all members for their unwavering commitment to
service, excellence, and empowerment; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted  to  the  leadership  of  the  Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order
Nobles Mystic Shrine (A.E.A.O.N.M.S.).
