        Introduced  by  Sen.  AVELLA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities
        AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
          relation to prohibiting vendors from vending on certain streets
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Subdivision k of section 17-315 of the administrative  code
     2  of  the  city of New York, as amended by chapter 11 of the laws of 2004,
     3  is amended to read as follows:
     4    k. No food vendor shall vend on any street at any time where and  when
     5  the  operation  of  any  food vending business is prohibited pursuant to
     6  either local law or section 20-465.1 of the code and any  rules  promul-
     7  gated  pursuant thereto. No food vendor shall vend in the area including
     8  and bounded on the east by the easterly side of Broadway, on  the  south
     9  by  the  southerly  side  of Liberty Street, on the west by the westerly
    10  side of West Street and on the north by  the  northerly  side  of  Vesey
    11  Street.  No food vendor shall vend on Hillside Avenue or Union Turnpike,
    12  in the area between 248th street and the Nassau county border or on 76th
    13  Avenue, in the area between 263rd street and the Nassau  county  border,
    14  in Jamaica, county of Queens.
    15    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
