       Introduced  by  Sen. BRESLIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
       AN ACT to authorize the city of Troy, county of  Rensselaer  to  forgive
         certain past due property taxes due from START Children's Center, Inc.
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any other  provision  of  any  law  to  the
    2  contrary,  the  assessor  of  the  city  of Troy is hereby authorized to
    3  forgive past due property taxes from START Children's Center,  Inc.  for
    4  the  period  of  time  from  May 1, 2012 through June 30, 2012, totaling
    5  three thousand six hundred eighty-four dollars and seventy-one cents for
    6  the parcel located at 131 Sixth Avenue,  Troy,  New  York,  12180,  also
    7  known as Lot 90.39 of Block 5 of Section 19.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
