        Introduced  by  Sen. SANDERS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Health

        AN ACT to extend certain provisions relating to emergency medical treat-
          ment to individuals and non-profit organizations

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Notwithstanding  any  provisions  to  the  contrary,  the
     2  provisions under section 3000-a  of  the  public  health  law  shall  be
     3  extended  to  any  individual or non-profit organization who voluntarily
     4  and without expectation of monetary compensation renders  first  aid  or
     5  emergency  treatment  to  an individual who is suffering and/or has been
     6  infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
