Of the foregoing appropriation item 335XXX, Treatment and | 16 |
Diversion Grants Services, $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2015 shall be | 17 |
used to provide treatment and diversion grants to alcohol, drug | 18 |
addiction, and mental health services boards. These grants shall | 19 |
be used to provide alternatives to prosecution or incarceration | 20 |
for persons who are or may be charged with, or who are convicted | 21 |
of, an offense related to the person's use or abuse of alcohol or | 22 |
other drugs. Services provided under the grants may include, but | 23 |
not be limited to, transportation, housing, and case management. | 24 |
The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services shall | 29 |
analyze the data submitted and prepare a report that evaluates the | 30 |
effectiveness of the program. The Department of Mental Health and | 31 |
Addiction Services may request any data regarding projects funded | 32 |
by the grant that is necessary to evaluate the program from the | 33 |
grant recipients. The Department shall submit the report to the | 34 |
Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate, the House | 35 |
Minority Leader, and the Senate Minority Leader. | 36 |
Section 3. Within the limits set forth in this act, the | 42 |
Director of Budget and Management shall establish accounts | 43 |
indicating the source and amount of funds for each appropriation | 44 |
made in this act, and shall determine the form and manner in which | 45 |
appropriation accounts shall be maintained. Expenditures from | 46 |
appropriations contained in this act shall be accounted for as | 47 |
though made in Am. Sub. H.B. 59 of the 130th General Assembly. | 48 |
