A RESOLUTION
1Recognizing the week of February 10, 2013, as "Pennsylvania
2Young Farmers' Association Week" in this Commonwealth.
3WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Young
4Farmer Educational Association was founded in 1949; and
5WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Young Farmers' Association's
6mission is to educate and promote the environmentally
7appropriate production, marketing and processing of food, feed
8and fiber; and
9WHEREAS, The association provides instruction to
10agriculturalists and the consumer public in the local community,
11which will aid the participants in making appropriate decisions;
12and
13WHEREAS, The association engages in a close relationship with
1agricultural organizations and other business and service
2industries to enhance learning and cooperation; and
3WHEREAS, The association is committed to promoting
4agricultural education in the public school system as well as
5providing education to all age groups; and
6WHEREAS, The association continues its leadership efforts by
7promoting community relations between the consumer public and
8the agricultural community on common concerns and issues;
9therefore be it
10RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
11week of February 10, 2013, as "Pennsylvania Young Farmers'
12Association Week" in this Commonwealth.
