TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 46-13-75 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE REQUIRED TO BE CERTIFIED AS A COMMERCIAL APPLICATOR OF PESTICIDES IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE CERTIFIED IF THE PERSON USES NO OTHER PEST CONTROL SUBSTANCE EXCEPT GLYPHOSPHATE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 13, Title 46 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 46-13-75. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter or any other provision of law or regulation, a person who may otherwise be considered a commercial applicator is not required to be certified under this chapter if the only form or type of pest control used by this person is 'glyphosphate'."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2017.
