TO CELEBRATE THE A.C. FLORA HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITIVE CHEER TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR A SUPERB SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM ON CAPTURING THE 2021 CLASS AAAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.
Whereas, with its usual precision and grace, the A.C. Flora High School competitive cheer team proved its tenacity and earned gold at the state competition, held at Columbia's Colonial Life Arena on Saturday, November 20, 2021; and
Whereas, finishing with 297 points, Flora triumphed over Easley, its nearest competitor, which finished with 283 points, followed by Airport and Irmo with 273 and 248 points respectively; and
Whereas, the victory allowed Head Coach Lyndsey West and her outstanding staff and team to take home the Class 4A title trophy for the second consecutive year; and
Whereas, by the time the Lady Falcons had claimed the crown, fans were already making plans to return next year to see their team make it a threepeat; and
Whereas, proud of the fine achievements of these young athletes, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pleasure in applauding the A.C. Flora competitive cheer team and wish its members much continued success in the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
