No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 334 of the Local Government Code, relating to Sports and Community Venues.
The bill would add Section 334.2519 to authorize a municipality with a population of 750,000 or more that is located in a county with a population of 1.5 million or less to use municipal hotel tax under this chapter to acquire, construct, improve, and equip a venue project and related infrastructure to be constructed on real property that is part of municipal park or recreation system.
