No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to allow a municipality or county to adopt an ordinance or order that imposes a civil penalty of not more than $500 for interfering with a child custody order.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant impact to the state court system is anticipated.
