A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the prohibited maintenance of certain vaccine exemption |
|
|
records by the Department of State Health Services. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 161.0041(e), Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) The department shall maintain a record of the total |
|
|
number of affidavit forms sent out each year and shall report that |
|
|
information to the legislature each year. The department may not |
|
|
maintain a record of: |
|
|
(1) the names of individuals who request an affidavit |
|
|
under this section; or |
|
|
(2) the number of affidavit forms sent out each year, |
|
|
disaggregated by zip code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
