recidivism, arrest, and incarceration of individuals with mental | ||
illness. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 531.0993, Government Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (j) to read as follows: | ||
(j) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, | ||
the commission may award a grant under this section for the state | ||
fiscal year beginning on September 1, 2019, only to a community | ||
collaborative in a county with a population of 555,000 or more that | ||
is adjacent to a county with a population of 3.3 million or more. | ||
This subsection expires August 31, 2020. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
