A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to increasing the expenditure requirement for the career |
|
|
and technology education allotment under the Foundation School |
|
|
Program. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 48.106(c), Education Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(c) At least 65 [55] percent of the funds allocated under |
|
|
this section must be used in providing career and technology |
|
|
education programs in grades 7 through 12. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
