A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the relocation of the Battleship "Texas" after |
|
|
refurbishment. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter T, Chapter 22, Parks and Wildlife |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 22.263 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 22.263. RELOCATION. Notwithstanding any other law, a |
|
|
provision of an agreement related to the relocation of the |
|
|
Battleship "Texas" after the repair and preservation of the |
|
|
battleship is not valid unless the provision provides for the |
|
|
relocation of the battleship to the San Jacinto Battleground State |
|
|
Historic Site. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
