| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 201.6111, Transportation Code, is added | ||
| as follows: | ||
| Sec. 201.6111. FLOOD CONTROL MEASURES. In the construction | ||
| of its highway projects, the department shall add flood control | ||
| measures to the project and to existing parts of the state highway | ||
| system directly affected by the project. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
