A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of certain lighting equipment on motorcycles |
|
|
and mopeds. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 547.306(b), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) A person may operate a motorcycle or moped equipped with |
|
|
LED ground effect lighting that: |
|
|
(1) emits a non-flashing [amber or white] light of any |
|
|
color; and |
|
|
(2) does not obstruct the vision of the operator or a |
|
|
person operating a passing motor vehicle. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
