BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 41, Education Code, is | ||
amended by adding Section 41.0032 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 41.0032. INCLUSION OF STUDENTS ATTENDING | ||
OPEN-ENROLLMENT CHARTER SCHOOLS IN DETERMINING WEIGHTED AVERAGE | ||
DAILY ATTENDANCE. Notwithstanding Section 41.001(3), a student | ||
residing in the boundaries of a school district who is attending an | ||
open-enrollment charter school is included in calculating the | ||
district's weighted average daily attendance. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
