| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 2252.908(a)(2), Government Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| (2) "Governmental entity" means a municipality, | ||
| county, public school district, open-enrollment charter school | ||
| established under Subchapter D, Chapter 12, Education Code, or | ||
| special-purpose district or authority. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 2252.908, Government Code, as amended by | ||
| this Act, applies only to a contract subject to that section that is | ||
| entered into, amended, or renewed on or after the effective date of | ||
| this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020. | ||
